Determined to be a classical vocalist when he was in his school, Mandar (not surprisingly) had to pursue engineering. After completing his B. Tech and while he was working with a Pune based MNC, Mandar realized that his soul finds rest in music. Soon, he quit his job and co-founded Baithak Foundation to share classical music with those who never had access to it. He is a trained vocalist, self-taught flutist, author of two books and consults with start-ups and other companies through Seed Shower, a consulting firm that he co-founded with his wife, Dakshayani.
A law graduate and a post graduate in Education from Tata Institute from Social Sciences, Dakshayani has been learning and performing Kirtanas from an age of 6. Dakshayani has been associated with social sectors for past many years in different capacities – from a teacher in a municipal school to HR associate to CSR manager. Dakshayani is a published author and conducts capacity building workshops for not for profits and social ventures.
